As an added benefit of ownership MIEC has allied with companies that offer valuable resources at reduced or zero cost to members of MIEC. We consider this an important part of our dedication and service to our policyholder owners.
MIEC has partnered with ELM Exchange, Inc., to provide case-based, online CME programs that teach healthcare providers to identify and mitigate risk in their clinical practices. This no-cost, convenient curriculum is proven to help physicians create a culture of enhanced patient safety and increased quality of care.
CME for primary care physicians: From July 2014 to July 2015, MIEC is offering family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric policyholders CME coursework that focuses on documentation risks using electronic medical records, on pain medication management, and on specialty-specific topics. A classroom containing seven courses will be available free of charge to primary care physicians. If you specialize in a non-primary care field and are interested in the course work, please contact Kathy Kenady or Claudia Dobbs at 510/428-9411, or toll free at 800/227-4527 for access to the classes.
